I used 800x600 until last Christmas when I got my new computer.

800 x 600 on the desktop, 1024 x 768 on my laptop. We're getting a new desktop in a few months, though. Hopefully a new laptop in under a year, too.

I tried 1152x864 just now. I would probably use it if my refresh rate could stay at 85 Hz. Anything below that has too much flicker.
