Advertising oppertunities

Ok so if you read the news thread you'll see I bought advertising on google. This thread is for you guys to give me ideas on ways we could advertise the site. I think we have a good deal of potential, just no one knows about us

We need to build a G360 'brand identity' if you will. What are our 'brand values'? We're a small, tight-knit community of gamers always willing to welcome newcomers into our folds. We play a lot of different games for fun, we don't care about winning or losing. At the forums we can talk about anything, we're laid back/not strict. Typing 'gears of war forums' into Google gets you a ton of results, so we need a USP (unique selling point). What makes us different from everybody else?

When you say say google advertising, what exactly does that entail? The links at the side of web searches?
