Not trying to incite another "EXPENDABLES GREAT SCOTT PILGRIM SUCKS!" discussion, but that's another reason I didn't want to see that movie. That kind of shit offends me. That whole throwing the nerdy crowd a bone motif is played out and lame.
How can any one eat that shit up like "OH MY GOD HE MENTIONED A HADOKEN THIS MOVIE IS SO HIP!" while I'm sitting here thinking "Who cares, stop trying to shoehorn in references about subject matter you know nothing about."
Actually, I said this to my friends too. I didn't even realize the Zelda stuff until about 10 minutes in, I was so into the movie, then I just realized I was humming a Zelda song because the movie was plaiyng it.
The movie WASN'T it's references, the references were additions and they were tastefully added.
Great movie.
Oh, and most of them were in reference to OLD games. There wasn't blatant shoryukens all up ins.
If not....:insano::insano::insano::insano::insano::insano::insano::insano::insano::insano::insano::insano::insano::insano::insano::insano::insano::insano::insano::insano::insano::insano::insano::insano::insano::insano::insano::insano::insano::insano::insano::insano::insano:
The Expendables was the best action movie of 2010. It was one of those rare movies which could make your adrenaline go sky high. I loved Sylvester's performance in the flick. And to my extreme delight The Expandable 2 is going to be released in August this year. How many of you guys are awaiting the movie as eagerly as me???
