I mentioned this somewhere else I think, but I think it would be fun if we could get a bunch of people together to play Rise of Nations. For those who don't know what Rise of Nations is, you can read my shitty review of it, or just know that it's probably the best god damn RTS game ever made, and way better than it's shitty ass sequel.

A lot of you probably don't like RTS games which is fine, but you would be wrong to not like this one. How could anyone say no to a game where you can make a city named Shitkens?

This is an old ass game so you could probably run it on a calculator if you really wanted too. Depending on how many people we get, we could do teams of 2vs2, 3vs3, 4vs4, or all of us against a hard ass computer. The game supports a shit ton of people at once (I think 16, but maybe more), and the computer is ridiculously hard on higher difficulties, even on 2vs1 scenarios.

For convience sake, I uploaded my version of the game to dropbox, but you could easily find the same thing on thepiratebay or whatever. But the zip I included is both the retail game and the expansion pack, so it's probably best to just go with that one. Serial number included as well below.

Let me know how many people would like to play and when we could all get together. I'm generally good any time after 4:30 PM EST during weekdays, and really any time during weekends.

Serial: C7VM7-YWMJV-X9T88-KQ6KP-PBWXW

Edit: I've added the rules files that people will need to change if they want to play with us. These go into "C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Rise of Nations\Thrones and Patriots\data" or your respective location. Make sure you do not put these into the Rise of Nations\data folder.

Edit2: Update game to 03.02.12.0800 and replace patriots.exe in C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Rise of Nations\ with this one: https://dl.dropbox.com/u/3360520/patriots.exe

Oh yeah, usually I edit one of the files in the game to allow basically unlimited nukes (because by default you usually only get around 10-ish nukes before everyone loses), so if we end up editing the rules file, everyone will have to overwrite it in their game's files. But not sure if we are going to do that yet.
