So I just beat the main quest. Crazy shit! Now I have about 50 hours of other bullshit to do!

wait after you beat main game can you keep playing!!??

Once you walk into the purifier room in the Jefferson Memorial during the last quest you can't go out. You have to stay and beat the main quest. So as long as you have a saved game outside of that room, you can just load it up and go do whatever you want.
