is zone of enders a classic?

I'm into playing video game classics from old systems.I was wondering if the zoe series is worth getting into with the hd collection coming out.

I thought the first one was kinda meh. A lot of people love it though.

I dont think I ever beat the second one. The first is about as class to a playable anime as you can get. It was pretty fun I thought.
