He did work there, for several years. The Homestead probably won't change anything, there won't be any lessons learned from them, because all they care about is the bottom line - not employee's safety. The building I sit in at work, like today, is falling over, and the boards are all lose. It's just a matter of time before this thing crumbles to the ground, but the Homestead doesn't care. People complain to me everyday about how the structure is. Also, it's completed covered in lead paint, which I'm sure is slowly killing me breathing it in all day long.
The managers treat us like crap, and although these two may have been the exceptions by the comments posted on those websites, this should be a wake up call for them. Most of the managers seem to be get off on treating other people like dirt, and honestly it's not a surprise that this happened eventually. My boss is a real bitch, and sooo many people hate her.
So all and all, the Homestead will act like nothing happened out of fear of losing business. Pathetic as that is.
