Took 11 years but finally beat FF12 (zodiac age) yesterday after never finishing the PS2 version. Vaan is the most doo-doo protaganist in any of the FF games. Take him and Penelo out and nothing story wise changes except a whole lot less whining, but good lord why did they hire a teen to voice act him? Couldn't even tell who the real main antagonist was supposed to be and neither the protagonist or the antagonist were good enough to be in some of the related FF12 games, so what does that say?
Otherwise, the rest of the cast was good. Story was OK, but felt shallow. Music was decent but nothing really memorable. Gameplay is pretty fun, but kind of fucking annoying because of so many enemies flip flopping around and you have to keep chasing them around to hit them. Also, traps suck ass.
Overall I probably give it like a C grade. It was better than 13 at least.
