I've been trying to keep myself and my brother out of it, because I waste enough money on the games already. The problem is, my brother just got a Link (his main in Smash), and might get Kirby as well. So, there goes his allowance down the drain.

I agree it is a lot of money, and after I found out the you can only store information for one game on each Amiibo, the urge to buy more of them has dropped a lot. I'll probably just buy the Zelda related ones only from this point on.. although I want that gold Mario.

i don't use mine, they are all ONLY for display...

FYI these things are region free so you could import some Japanese ones, if you really wanted to
